Statement About EzonRun and Privacy

EzonRun is a product (or service) operated by Fujian EZON Information Technology Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Ezon", "we", "us", or "our") that provides sports and wellness guidance for you. We understand the importance of your personal information, and will do our best to protect it. We promise that we will take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information according to established industry security standards. Please read and understand the Statement About EzonRun and Privacy before using this product (or service).
You hereby represent and warrant that you are an adult when you start using this product (or service). If you are a minor, your guardian must agree to your use of this product (or service) and agree to the relevant terms and conditions. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, you can contact by sending an email to app@ezonwatch.com
Under normal circumstances, we will reply within one month.
If you are dissatisfied with our response, especially if you feel that our processing or handling of your personal information violates or harms your legal rights and/or interests, you may seek external resolution, whether by filing a lawsuit with the people's court in the relevant jurisdiction, submitting a complaint to the industry selfregulation association or relevant government regulatory agencies, or by other means.
 
1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
Personal information refers to a variety of information recorded electronically or otherwise that can be used alone or in combination with other information to identify a particular natural person or to reflect the activity of a particular natural person.
Sensitive personal information includes personal identification number, personal biometric information, bank account number, property information, whereabouts, transaction information, and the personal information of children aged 14 years and younger.
EzonRun is an app used for the tracking and analysis of personal health and fitness data. This app needs to connect to the Internet during use, and requires access to the following permissions and features: Location, Bluetooth, Camera, Microphone, Contacts, Call logs, Phone, and Storage. It also needs to collect and process your personal information, including your device and network information, personal data, and your fitness and health data, as explained in detail below:
- Device and network information, including your device identifier, device settings, personal settings, IP address, and network type.
- Personal data, including your EZON ID and your height, weight, gender, and age, which will help this app to provide more accurate data.
- Fitness data, including device location, workout route, workout type, workout duration, running form, step count, distance covered, calories burned, elevation gained, VO2 max, exercise heart rate, and exercise analysis data. This data will be collected for the purpose of storage and display.
- Health data, including sleep, heart rate, stress, body fat percentage, blood pressure, blood sugar, and SpO2 to store and display.
Your health and fitness data contains sensitive personal information which will only be uploaded to Ezon servers with your explicit consent. The above data will be stored on servers located in the People's Republic of China.
Even when not in use, this app may need to access your motion sensor to obtain your step count, as well as connect to the Internet to sync data, receive notifications, update device software, and upload usage logs.
This app will only work if you agree to the collection of the above information and grant the required permissions. We will only collect and use your personal information for the following purposes described in this Statement:
1.1 Providing you with the following core functions
(1) EZON ID login
To manage your fitness and health data, we need to use your EZON ID information, including your nickname, profile picture, gender, and date of birth or age. Your nickname and profile picture will be displayed in the EzonRun app, and your gender and date of birth will be used to provide personalized fitness advice.
After you create or modify an account, the account data will be automatically saved on your mobile phone and synchronized to the EZON ID server.
You must be logged in to your EZON ID to use EzonRun. When you log in, the EzonRun app will automatically obtain your nickname, profile picture, gender, and date of birth. If you do not provide us with your gender and date of birth, we may not be able to present you with accurate fitness advice.
(2) Managing wearable, fitness, and health devices
To manage wearable devices (such as bands, watches, and earphones) as well as fitness and health devices (such as heart rate devices, body fat scales, blood glucose monitors, blood pressure monitors, and treadmills), we need to collect your device and network information. Device information includes the device identifiers (IMEI, MAC address, UDID, and SN), device type, and device configuration data. This type of information is used to establish Bluetooth connections, manage device configurations, upgrade software, display data sources, and collect statistical data on device activation. Network information includes IP addresses, network types, and network connection status. This type of information is used to ensure network connectivity.
To pair with a wearable, fitness, or health device, the EzonRun app requires the Bluetooth and Location permissions of your phone.
After pairing with a wearable, fitness, or health device, in order to provide more accurate data monitoring, the gender, age, height, and weight information you enter will be synced to other devices (such as bands, watches, body fat scales, etc.).
Some fitness and health devices require access to your phone's microphone. For example, Ezon Honor AM16 Earphones use the microphone for communication, and the Dnurse blood sugar monitor uses the microphone jack to transmit control data and blood sugar data.
To provide call functionality, some wearables need to access and synchronize your contacts and call records, but will not upload them to Ezon servers.
Some wearables support Bluetooth message sync, which needs to connect to the Internet, requires the Messaging, Contacts, Call logs permissions of your phone, and obtains the notification access in order to push notifications to your wearable and sync your call status in the background, so as to improve the communication stability between the two devices.
Some wearable devices support mobile payment and access card features, and need to access NFC to read your bank card or access card information and to manage your bank, transportation, and access cards. Your personal data (such as your phone number, EZON ID, and other identity information), location information, device identifier and settings, network information, and bank card, transportation card, and access card information will be provided to the card issuer or a third-party provider authorized by the card issuer for card configuration and risk control purposes. For details, please refer to the Statement About EZON Wallet and Privacy and service agreements of respective card issuer.
You can pair your Ezon Honor AM16 Earphones in EzonRun, which will send your heart rate data to the Mood Index app if you use the mood detection feature.
Some wearable watches support eSIM and multi-IMSI. These features are provided by your network carrier. In this case, your device identifier (SN) may be uploaded to the network carrier's servers. For further details, see your network carrier's service agreement.
Your personal data (gender, age, height, and weight) and device configuration data may be transmitted to EzonRun in a secure way from your wearables paired with your phone.
For wearables that can play music, you can access your playlist in EZON Music from EzonRun, which will then transmit the music files to your wearable in a secure way.
Once successfully paired, the body fat scale will also sync or download your personal data (such as your gender, age, height, weight, etc.) from the cloud to provide more accurate data calculations.
The Wi-Fi body fat scale can directly connect to the server via WLAN, and upload your measurement (such as your weight, body fat, heart rate, and pressure) and the device identifier of your scale to the EzonRun cloud accessible in the EzonRun app. Pairing the Wi-Fi body fat scale requires you to authorize the upload of your personal data and health data to EzonRun cloud. To stop the upload of such data, unpair the Wi-Fi body fat scale.
If you add a sub-user to your body fat scale, the account and measurement data of the sub-user will be uploaded to the main account; if you add another EZON ID as the sub-account for the Wi-Fi body fat scale, the nickname and HUID of the sub-account will also be uploaded to the main account. If the uploaded data cannot be identified by account, they will be sent to each sub-account to be claimed.
If you do not provide this type of information, you may not be able to pair your device with EzonRun app or some features may be restricted.
(3) Managing personal data
To improve the accuracy of fitness data, we need to collect your personal data (on the Profile screen in the app), including your height, weight, and fitness settings (such as your fitness target, heart rate range, and metric and imperial system setting).
If you do not provide such information, the accuracy of fitness data calculation is affected, but this does not affect the use of personal data management.
(4) Recording fitness data
To record and manage your fitness data, we need to collect information such as your device location, exercise route, type, duration, running posture, step count, distance, calories burnt, climbing height, VO2 max, and exercise heart rate. Exercise types include walking, running, cycling, climbing, swimming, triathlon, and basketball. The purpose of collecting such information is to record and collect statistics on your daily fitness data and trajectory so as to provide you with personalized fitness services.
You can share your fitness data locally to different social apps, such as WeChat, QQ, and Weibo (requires Storage permission). To use the photo sharing feature, you need to authorize the EzonRun app to access your Camera. If you share your data in the app, we will need to collect and provide your device identifier to the corresponding social app.
The Intelligent Coach feature provides you with professional workout guidance through voice instructions based on your exercise records (VO2 max and exercise heart rate) during exercise.
We will use your personal information in the following ways: (a) analyze and display your data in the EzonRun app; (b) display and analyze your fitness data in EMUI system apps (including Screen Lock, SmartCare, Camera, Gallery, Music, Smart Card, and EZON Intelligent Suggestion) and on the notification panel.
If you do not provide this information, the fitness data recording feature is not affected, but you are not able to store your fitness data on Ezon cloud. In this case, if you uninstall the EzonRun app or change your mobile phone, your fitness data will be lost.
(5) Managing Health data
To manage your health data and display relevant data in the app, we need to collect data about your sleep, heart rate, SpO2, blood pressure, blood sugar, and body fat. Body fat data relies on the collection capability of the device. This data may include weight, body fat, body fat percentage, impedance, BMI, muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, water weight, water percentage, visceral fat level, bone salt, protein percentage, skeletal muscle mass, your body condition rating, and other measurement data. Heart rate data includes exercise heart rate, daily heart rate, stress data generated through heart rate data analysis, etc. Health data is sensitive personal information. The purpose of collecting such information is to measure, record, and display your health-related data, so as to provide you with personalized health services.
If you do not provide this information, the health data management feature is not affected, but you are not able to store your health data on Ezon Cloud. In this case, if you uninstall the EzonRun app or change your mobile phone, your health data will be lost.
(6) Smart ranking
To implement ranking in different user groups and provide a fitness and health white paper, we need to collect statistics on your fitness and health data for user group data analysis. This allows you to compare your fitness data against other users of the same age range, gender, and area. If you do not upload personal information to the server, this feature is unavailable.
If you use the group feature, your steps and distance data is shared in the group for ranking. Users outside the group will not see your personal information. You can quit the group to terminate the data sharing.
(7) Incentive system
To provide the incentive system service, we need to collect statistics on your historical fitness and health data. This includes your nickname, profile picture, step count, workout duration, workout score, sleep data, and location. We use this information to generate your level, K-points, achievements, and weekly, monthly, and annual fitness reports, and award you with virtual medals.
(8) User experience improvement service
To help us improve product quality and user experience, you need to share your device identifier and usage data of EzonRun and paired devices with Ezon. This includes the pages you opened and buttons you touched in the app, as well as the operating status of app and device features.
The preceding information is used for overall analysis only without having your identity revealed and will be deleted after analysis.
If you do not want to share such data, go to Me > Settings > Privacy settings and disable Share device and app usage data. It will not affect your normal use of other EzonRun services.
(9) Problems and suggestions
To report any problems or provide suggestions, you can touch Problems and suggestions in the EzonRun app. To help us solve your problems quickly, you may be required to provide problem description and contact information (email address or phone number), and upload app logs. This may include your personal information.
The app logs and contact information you upload will only be used for communication and troubleshooting, and will be automatically deleted after your issue is resolved.
You can choose not to provide logs, but we may be unable to solve your problems. It will not affect your normal use of other EzonRun services.
1.2 Providing you with the following additional functions
(1) Online activities
To implement online activities, we will use your nickname, profile picture, and related fitness and health data. Your nickname and profile picture are used to display the rank in an activity, and your fitness and health data is used to calculate the activity score. During the activity, you may need to enter your name, address, and phone number to complete the participation information or receive a prize.
If you choose to participate in a third-party activity, you need to give explicit consent to allow the third party to obtain your data. The data you entered will be stored in the third-party server.
(2) Workout plans
To provide workout plans and programs, we need to collect your workout type and duration, calories, and workout heart rate. We use this information to record and analyze your workout results so that we can improve the course plan and guidance we provide.
(3) Data sharing
If you use a third-party service, we may need to share your fitness and health data with the third party. Health data is sensitive personal information. The purpose of sharing such information is for you to use the third-party software to record and analyze your fitness and health data through your third-party account.
We will use your personal information in the following ways: After you share your data, the data will be provided to the third parties during each data synchronization. You can disable this feature at any time on the Data sharing screen.
(4) Data disclosure
To deliver various third-party fitness and health services (such as sleep, fat burning, insurance, online doctor services, and fitness and health services), we need to disclose relevant personal data, fitness data, and health data to third parties according to the service you choose. This information may include your sensitive personal information. The purpose of disclosing such data is for third parties to provide fitness and health services.
We also provide local access to AppleHealth Kit. A third-party app can integrate AppleHealth Kit to read or write your personal data (such as gender, age, height, and weight) and fitness and health data (such as step count, distance traveled, calories burnt, exercise intensity, heart rate, blood sugar level, blood pressure, body fat, and sleep data) stored locally on your phone with your consent. You can manage permissions for each thirdparty app to read or write different types of data (personal data, individual exercise record, steps, distance, calories burnt, blood sugar, blood pressure, and sleep data, etc.)
With your consent, the thirdparty app will access your personal information that it requires. The collection and processing of your personal information by third parties are subject to their respective privacy policies.
If you do not provide such information, you are not able to use the services provided by third parties.
 
2 Providing Your Personal Information to Third-Party Service Providers
Some services in this app are provided by third-party service providers, for which we need to provide your personal information as follows:
2.1 Services requiring to obtain data open to them in EzonRun (including Strava,Google FIT,Fitness apps, Codoon online competition, More Health, heart health by the 301 Hospital, thirdparty apps that integrate AppleHealth Kit, and other thirdparty fitness and health apps) are provided by thirdparty service providers, for which we need to collect and share your personal information, including personal data, fitness data, and health data. The thirdparty service providers may collect your personal information that you provide directly to them based on the services.
This app also allows you to link your EZON ID with your third-party account in the third-party app or website, and manage your personal information in the thirdparty system through your third-party account.
The collection and processing of your personal information by third parties are subject to their respective privacy policies, which you can view in their app or website.
Before using thirdparty services, carefully read the user agreements and related privacy policies of the third-party services.
2.2 The Health app also directly syncs your fitness and sleep data to the platforms or servers of certain third-party apps (including Whatsapp, Facebook, Tiktok, Twitter,MyFitnessPal, Google Fit, and Apple HealthKit) with your consent. You can unlink your thirdparty account with EzonRun at any time. This will disable the synchronization. You need to log in to a thirdparty app to view and manage the data shared with the third party.
2.3 EzonRun supports route tracking for each individual exercise and its map service is provided by Amap, Google Maps, Baidu Maps, and HMS Map Kit, for which we will collect and share your location information, and may need to provide your device identifier. The specific data to be collected and processes are subject to the privacy policies of third parties. For more details, please refer to the privacy policies of the corresponding map service provider.
2.4 If your wearable device supports weather forecasting, your location information will be sent locally from your phone to the weather service provider to obtain the weather information in your area. To stop sharing such information, disable the weather forecast feature in Device Management in the EzonRun app.
Before using thirdparty services, carefully read the user agreements and related privacy policies of the third-party services.
 
3 Your Data Subject Rights
In order for you to more easily access, amend, and delete your personal information during the course of using the EzonRun app and guarantee you the right to withdraw your consent regarding personal information usage, we have added the relevant operating settings in the product. Refer to the following guidelines for details.
3.1 Access personal information
After you install and log in to EzonRun, your personal information saved on the Ezon cloud will be automatically downloaded and synchronized to your phone.
In the EzonRun app, you can access your fitness and health data through data cards, including cards for steps, fitness, sleep, heart rate, weight, blood pressure, blood sugar, SpO2, and the Devices screen.
You can view your nickname, profile picture, gender, date of birth, height, weight, and fitness settings on the Me screen.
3.2 Update personal information
On the Me screen, you can edit your nickname, profile picture, gender, date of birth, height, weight, and fitness settings. However, to ensure data accuracy and authority, the data automatically obtained from your phone or fitness devices cannot be edited or updated.
 
4 Data Storage Location and Period
4.1 Data storage location
The personal information collected and generated under the Services will be stored in the People's Republic of China.
4.2 Data storage period
We store your personal information only for the time necessary to achieve the purpose of its collection, and delete or anonymize your personal information beyond the time set out below, except as otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations.
The specific retention time of your personal information stored in EzonRun is set out below:
To ensure data security, your data will be linked to your EZON ID account. Your fitness and health data will be encrypted in transmission and stored on the EzonRun cloud server unless you delete the fitness and health cloud data by going to Me > Settings > Privacy settings > Clear all personal data from cloud. If you delete your EZON ID, your data will also be deleted.
In addition, if we discontinue our products or services, we will notify you in the form of a push notification, announcement, or other means, and delete your personal information or anonymize it within a reasonable period of time.
 
5 Updates to this Statement
Ezon reserves the right to update this Statement in due course. When a change occurs, we will send you the updated statement in the form of a pop-up dialog box. We will only collect, use, and store your personal information in accordance with the updated statement with your consent.
 
This Statement takes effect as of the date of the update.
